valerie tolosa s/s '10

sydney-based designer valerie tolosa has just released her spring/summer 2010 collection, and there's some really pretty pieces. i was a fan of valerie's designs a few years ago, but haven't purchased her pieces for a number of seasons as i just felt she was repeating her previous designs. however, whilst this new collection certainly bears her distinctive girly stamp, there are enough variations in fabric and design to keep me entertained. i'm especially excited about the victoria maxi skirt - i've been looking for something like this for ages!

somewhere, over the rainbow

my friend lee (who makes an appearance in one of the pictures below), his dog barnaby and i went for a midnight walk around the city the other night. we bought rainbow paddle pops from a convenience store, strolled, and talked. rainbow ice-cream never fails to lift my spirits and remind me of summer.

forces of nature

geode rings have been popping up around the traps for a while now, but i'm still enthralled by them. raw gems have always reminded me of miniature cities - i bet all the citizens of oz had green ones ;)
